my snare music I have 1 line for snare but the notes are places below the line and not on it. How do I fix this?

Sounds like you must have created a custom drumset definition for your snare part but gotten the details wrong (or perhaps you got this score from someone else who did that). Click the Edit Drumset in the drum input palette button to try again, and this time be sure to use line 0 for the notes you want on the line.
