Option to not jump to next page automatically
I often need to enter measures such as those shown in the attachment. Assuming that the G chord is the last measure on a page (but not in the score):
* I enter g' in voice 1 and MuseScore automatically jumps to the next page. I hit PgUp.
* I enter b in voice 2, it jumps to the next page, so I hit PgUp.
* I enter d' in voice 3, it jumps to the next page, so I hit PgUp.
* I enter G in voice 1 (left hand), it jumps to the next page, so I hit PgUp.
* I enter the three 8th notes in voice 2 (left hand), it jumps to the next page, so I hit PgUp in order to add the fermatas.
This can also be an issue with editing, not entering notes. If I need to correct something in the last measure on a page, I do so and MuseScore moves ahead when I would prefer to check that the correction was made properly before going on.
This scenario is really starting to annoy me. I understand that for many users (and sometimes for me too) automatically moving to the next page is convenient, so it's fine to have that as the default. Could we add an option to remain on the same page? I looked around in the Preferences but couldn't fine such a thing.

Thanks -- I will try this (never used it before). It certainly should fix the issue when editing existing notes. I'll see how it behaves when entering new material.
Or deactivate "Pan score automatically" in the toolbar.

Ah -- so "Pan score" doesn't just matter when playing a file? I always assumed it was only for playback.

The pan score button is immediately to the left of the metronome, at least in current versions. MuseScore 2 is pretty old and quite a bit more limited. Not sure it supports the feature we are talking about here.

"single page mode" isn't available in MuseScore 2.x, but "pan score during playback/automatically" inside the toolbar.

Yes, but I wasn;'t sure at what point we changed it to affect editing rather than just playback. Looks like it was 2.3, so actually, that feature is available in the last couple of 2.x releases but not in 2.1 or 2.2.

For me (using AppImages) "single page view" is avaiable with MuseScore 3.0, but not with 2.3.2.

Right, to be clear, I was specifically talking about the change to the pan score button.

The toolbox button "Pan score during playback" is also available in version 2.0.3, not sure about versions before.

Yes, but as explained previously, it only affected playback at first. It only became relevant to editing at 2.3
