Bug with real-time note entering

When I try to use Real-Time note on this file I get a bizarre response where if I hit a key on the Midi keyboard it continues to put in muliples of the note usually 2 octaves above. I reloaded the program and rebooted the computer several times but that did not change . The functionality works fine in a test score but it doesn't work in this one. I have only recently upgraded from Musescore 2.3 to 3.4 so today was the first time I was trying it.
