Replacing Articulation
I tried yesterday to do something: while I was notating, I wanted to replace all the staccati above certain chords with staccatisimi (staccatisimo?). So I selected all staccati markings (not cooresponding chords) with left click+mouse as I thought that selecting same articulations could be perhaps replaced by other. In the end it didn't happen...
Perhaps there's an alternative solution and this have been in "support" section but if not...
What if we could select similar elements (like same articulation markings or fermatas) and be able to instantly replace them by clicking to add another element? Maybe I should have had selected the chords instead to see if it worked like that...
This idea won't apply to everything: only certain combinations:
Replace:
-> Staccato with: accent with staccato, staccatisimo or marcato (and other similar art.)
-> Fermatas with: other types of fermatas
-> Accents with: accents with another articulation (and opposite)
Sorry if this already exists..

P.S. there could be other combinations too.
It doesn't exist afaik.
This has been suggested for dynamics as well. The trick is figuring out which replacements make sense, because there might always be someone somewhere that doesn't want the replacement but really add a 2nd set of markings (so we need a way to not lose that functionality either).
At least selecting all similar elements is becoming a lot easier in 3.5, where click first element then shift+click end element should perform that action.

Many of the more common of these operations can be achieved using the predefined keyboard shortcuts (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/keyboard-shortcuts#articulations). It is possible to select notes and with a single key stroke add or remove staccato, tenuto, accent, marcato markings. The list of available actions without default shortcuts also includes bow up and down and so the user can define their own shortcuts for these if they are used frequently. Note that the toggles act only on the specified articulation. Therefore it is possible to toggle staccatto and accent independently for example.
And then there is "apply current pallet item" which allows the addition of dynamics or other less common articulations to a number of selected notes. Unfortunately, this does not work as a toggle it is an "apply only" action.
I suggest a more general improvement would be to expose more actions to allow shortcuts to be defined and to implement more actions as toggles.

I'll suppose "end element" refers to the final articulation/dynamic... All those shortcut things confuse me.. we should opt for something simpler if possible, but keep the shortcuts I suppose.
