MuseScore file extensions not register in Microsoft database
If a user who does not have MuseScore installed tries to open a MuseScore file on Windows then he or she is directed to one of the following web pages (depending on the file extension):
http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/0409/xml/redir.asp?Ext=mscz
http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/0409/xml/redir.asp?Ext=mscx
Since MuseScore is not registered in Microsoft's database the web page does not include a description of the software or a link to download. To add this information you only need to send an email as specified at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929149
