any way to make the spacing less than 1

I compared what I bought from the store and what i created in Musescore. I noted that the Musescore notes look a lot smaller but they are not as tightly spaced as the scores that I bought. What is the best way to adjust (other than changing the ratio, as it makes everything very small and hard to read). Basically, I would like to get the notes closer and make the noteheads bigger. Thanks.
