View continuous.
A score attached in the Italian forum: http://musescore.org/it/node/31801
has a setting page width = 2.000,00 mm. It could be a surrogate (with 1.3) of view continuous.
It can be a useful trick?

Sure it is! And I can suggest another useful trick starting from what you just pointed out. Provided a single-line looooong staff, you can use a screen-grabbing software like this (but there are so many around) to make a movie that follows the score as the music plays. It can be useful in so many teaching situations. Of course, you can change the audio track with one of your choice, included an audio track in which YOU play the music (not the software) or even read the notes (we call that technique "solfeggio" here in Italy).
