Highlighted note very dark blue
When I click on a note to select it, the blue color is so dark that it is hardly discernible from the normal black color. Is it possible to lighten the dark blue to make it more visible? In the attached file, the very fist note "C4" is highlighted, but hardly visible as such. Is there a way to make it say... bright green or yellow?

Edit >Preferences >Advanced >ui/score/voice1/color
Click on the colour and change it to one that suits you.

Is there a way to change the color of the shaded surface as it follows the music during playback?

Yesn't.
It follows the voice 1 color preference at a fixed half-transparency level.
[EDIT:] A separate preference was added after the release of 3.6.2 in #275483: Change playback cursor so I would expect this to be possible in MS4 as well.
