Notes and flags
Hey there!
I am writing a solo for bass, but there is one bar that looks different. The note flags are connected which each other. Why does it look like that? It's really hard to read while playing, any specific reason? The first 8 notes are connected to each other.

The second picture shows the notation in Musescore.

What time signature is this? Neither of those look correct at all - the beat structure is totally obscured. Unless it's meant to be something with a really irregular beat structure, as in some Eastern music forms.
