Swell hairpin dynamics
Currently in Musescore it is incredibly tedious to add swell hairpin dynamics as it requires using separate voices with hidden rests to attach both a crescendo and decrescendo to a sustained note. This also requires a ton of manual editing as this doesn't work across parts. It would be wonderful if this was implemented as a separate line type, this is how both Dorico and Sibelius do it. Given that this is such a common notation, especially in more contemporary classical and film music, I really don't understand why it isn't in Musescore already.
I've attached an example of a swell dynamic hairpin stolen from the Dorico forums, this is a complex example with a dynamic marking in the middle of the swell but the simple swell is much more common.

Indeed, something we'd all like to see. I think there has been some initial work towards a design for this, but nothing concrete yet.
Did anything ever happen with this issue? I'm trying now in May 2024. I guess I'll have to do the hidden rest thing.

For now that is still the workaround, but the new system is designed and largely implemented and will probably be in place for 4.4 in a few months.
