You shouldn't place MuseHub and Musecy SM Ltd automatically in the startup menu to allow in the background.
I am trying to be positive about Musescore 4. Though, I am going to wait a few months before transferring over.
But placing things in the background can cause many unnecessary problems.
For example, I am taking a Pennsylvania notary test on December 29th, and Musehub actually interfered with making my computer compatible for the online test. I just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to remove Musehub from my Applications folder.
I would always to prefer to manually update anything (or even be forced to manually update) rather than have a program do it for me.
Anyway, best of luck. The interface looks beautiful, the note engraving is noticeably improved and the 'computer' sounds are wonderful. Best of luck.

I'm experiencing similar. I do not want unnecessary things running in the background, or worse, popping up in your face when you didn't ask for them. Also similarly, I haven't completely switched over, not just because of bugs I encountered early on, but mostly because of the lag in help resources. Muse 4 definitely looks good though.
Open the HUB. Go to Settings and turn everything off. You don't need the Hub to run MuseScore. You only need to open it now and then to check for updates.
