Tablature Ties Don't Work In Playback

Hello!

I have recently been trying to write guitar in tablature and I noticed that ties don't work on chords when played back. Rather than playing one half note, it would play two quarter notes for example. I tested a bit and figured out that it's because I had overdrive on for the guitar. Does anybody know how to fix this?
