Play without delay

There is a small delay when starting to playback an arrangement in Musescore 4 on MacOS. After hitting the spacebar it takes a little while to begin playing so it is not possible to sync the playback with other music. This was much smoother in v3 of Musescore. Is there a chance to fix this?
