There can be many different causes. Therefore: attach your problem file here and they can tell you more.
You say 'scores'... Is only ONE score corrupted out of ?? many? This is under Mu4.0.x, right? macOS, Linux, Windows?

Yes, I would also like to know how often this happens. There are many questions on the forum about corrupt scores.
