Mac sound issue - Trying to playback cuts out all system audio

So this problem suddenly started happening 2 days ago on my Mac. Whenever I try to playback the score, all of my audio cuts out. All of it. The mixer shows that audio is playing, but I cannot hear ANYTHING coming from ANY source, until I change my sound output to something else and back. After that, when I play audio from, say, YouTube, it works, and when I play one instrument's part it sort of works, but when I try to playback all the instruments parts, my audio cuts out. I tried it while a YouTube video was playing, when I pressed 'play' the YouTube video just stopped making sound, let alone the score didn't play.

And once again, this problem suddenly started. I was looking at some VST plugins and testing them on MuseScore when the problem started, but I don't think that is what caused this.

I have tried restarting my computer, updating MuseScore, reinstalling MuseScore, reverting to factory settings, everything I can think of and no one on the forum seems to have this problem. Help!

EDIT: I have found that 2 or more notes playing at the same time triggers this audio cut-out.

EDIT 2: The score plays for a short moment before cutting out all audio.

EDIT 3: Exporting to audio works.
