pause Playback and not lose piano keyboard visual highlighting?

In version 3.6.2 (the last version where highlighting of midi notes on a visual piano keyboard works), is there any way to freeze the keyboard highlighting when pressing Pause? Yes, I can read the score, but it's so much easier watching the highlighting on the piano keyboard. Complicated chords though fly by too fast and I can't freeze the most recent visual highlighting on the piano keyboard. It simply disappears when I press Pause, then resumes when I press Play..
