M1 Compatibility

Our school district got us these lovely Macbook Airs with MacOS13 on it.
Since our new Macbooks, I have not been able to download and/or properly use Musescore.
Our district's technology claims "The problem is the developer has still not updated for M1 compatibility".
I'm a band teacher, I have no idea what means... Sorry!
BUT... is Musescore working on this problem? What can I do in the meantime? I need to use Musescore, and have a ton of files that I need to work on... HELP!
