Musescore 4.2, Acoustic Guitar Pedal/Sustain is missing?
I recently completed a score using the previous version of Musescore.
I uploaded this to youtube. Here is the link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qeycWegl_4&t=10s
As you can see the sustain works very well here.
But I recently upgraded to the latest 4.2 version of Musescore.
Now my score sounds quite different.
The sustain on the 2nd Acoustic Guitar can no longer be heard
although the sustain line is present.
How can I get my sustain back?
I uploaded the score here on this thread.

Guitars are not supposed to have sustain.

That did cross my mind.
But on the version just before 4.2,
the sustain was implemented and it worked.
You can hear it on the youtube link.
But now it sounds very dry.
I guess this functionality was removed
on this latest 4.2 version.
I have since found a somewhat suitable work around though.
Adding the reverb effect seems to approach
the sound I had before as in the linked recording.
I'll just have to do some editting.
Thanks.
Sustain pedal (aka Let Ring or Laisez Vibrer) worked in MuseScore 3. And It's hard to believe but sustain is broken in MuseScore 4 with Muse Guitars, but should work with MSBasic.
But in your piece I don't see how sustain would make the "2nd guitar" part.
Also, here in MuseScore 4.2 the "2nd guitar" sounds the same as in your youTube post.

Hmm,
If you can hear the score's "2nd guitar" in Musescore 4.2
the same as in the YouTube recording,
then there must be something wrong in my Musescore 4.2 app.
It does play the chords' durations but does not run into the
next adjacent chord as in a sustain.
It simply sounds like a piano without the sustain pedal.
Maybe I will reinstall.
Thanks.
