mf then suddenly p

Hi, this may seem a dumb musical question but I want to indicate a moderately loud note (volume mf) suddenly decreasing to p. sfp doesn't quite mean the same (implies f to p not mf to p) and "mfp" is not in the vocabulary.

It depends on if you need accurate playback. Unfortunately MuseScore fonts react differently (if at all) to different markings. Real musicians would understand mfp. How long the note in question is, makes a difference.

I think the closest you could get playback to what you want is to add mf on one note and then p on the next. If you want this at the beginning of a long note, re-write it (perhaps on a hidden staff) to very short note tied to longer notes to make up the original long note. Then mf on the very short note and p on the subsequent longer note.
