Open Hi-hat notes in drum kit
I have a piece of music that has an open hi-hat note with a hollow diamond in the closed hi-hat space on the staff. First of all, what does this note mean (I am not a drummer), and how do I input that note into the space of the closed hi-hat? Secondly, I can't seem to figure out how to change the notehead. See below.

Be sure to read the drum notation chapter of the Handbook. The more standard way to notate open hi hat would be with a normal x notehead but an "o" articulation above it, and that's what current versions of MuseScore Studio support more directly. But if you prefer this alternate style, use Edit Drumset (as explained in the Handbook) to customize the open hi hat to use that notehead.
