As I know, mixer always shows the instrument chosen in staff properties (not the name).

Press F10 to show the Mixer, or go to View, and check Mixer so that it is visible. The sounds for each instruments should be visible.
Alternatively, add the new instrument, copy-paste the notation from the other instrument, then delete the old instrument.
