Any Note input auto-replicates infinitely and MuseScore crashes.

Gif is attached - no matter what I do, when i enter a note (either using mouse clicks or keyboard) that same note just auto-replicates into every beat in every bar, and the program just crashes. Is this a known issue?

I'm using musescore 4.4.2 on an m1 mac , sonoma 14.3

I guess you've entered in a MIDI loop:
go to Edit/Preferences/Audio & MIDI: select another MIDI output and/or input device; this should interrupt the loop.
