Musescore 4.4.x crashes when laptop undocked

For some weeks now, through all the Musescore 4.4.x releases I have found that if I unplug my USB-connected dock, Musescore silently crashes ("closed unexpectedly").

My docking station has desktop monitors and speakers connected.

This did not happen pre 4.4.

Currently using:
OS: Windows 11 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.4.2-242570931, revision: 3130f97
