Note durations...please allow editing numerically; pretty, pretty please...

I'm a former user of Kurzweil DAW products and have learned the interface of MuseScore, which I'm falling deeply in love with! In Cakewalk it was possible to right click an event on the measure, then you could edit the duration OR even create a custom input method where you by default would say have a whole measure of 4/4 be equal to a value like '360' and a quarter note would be 90 duration. However, this would indicate where the note/midi event would fall if you broke the measures into say 360 input positions and the note's duration could be 180 (a half note) that you opted to place at the position 90 (where a second quarter note would typically fall.) So, the language for this was the quantized 'grid,' for events versus event 'duration.' You could actually specify a custom note for ease of notation of arpeggios on a stringed instrument or strummed chords. Could the interface be extended with such a feature as it would greatly improve productivity if an event could be custom defined like this. Essentially, it might be like having a bunch of measures set up like quantized input grid of positions and notes of lengths that you define and can input either numerically in a midi chart or at 128 note positions, whatever would be most efficient I suppose. Maybe you already have one, and I've missed the app or plugin?

Thanks!
