Musescore Drumline or Alternative for Linux

• Nov 2, 2024 - 18:53

I've been browsing around the web at the many different MuseScore 4 drumline extensions, but I can't get any of them to work on my Linux system. I'm wondering if there is anyone who knows of a way to get any sort of drumline soundpack or extension working for linux, and I have no preference if it is the new MuseScore drumline pack or something older. I appreciate your help.

Currently there is no way you can use the old MS3 drumline extension nor the new MS4 MuseSounds Drumline with any official Linux MS4 version.
More than 2 months after the MS4.4 release, an updated Muse Soundsmanager/Muse Sampler is still in the make. No idea when this will be released. I read on discord about this: "StaffPad and Linux are chugging away! Linux has a few blockers making life "fun"....
Options:
-use MS 3.6/3.7 with drumline extension.
-if you feel adventurous, you can use my Linux VST build https://musescore.org/en/node/351813 , install wine+yabridge, install sforzando for Windows, install old MS3 drumline extensions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccV8kR8hKzU. Alternatively, if you don't want to use wine, transform the sfz files to decentsampler
