Fingering on a mac

• Nov 11, 2024 - 20:56

I'm putting the finishing touches on a piano piece using a mac. Right now there is no shortcut to add fingering text like there is with other text. Consequently, it takes forever to click through the menu system to add a single number to a single note.

I couldn't find a way to make a shortcut myself. It would be helpful if there was either a way to bind a key combination to this (or any) function—perhaps having it display as not default in the menus, or to simply have a keyboard shortcut to go directly to fingering.

This would apply to sticking with percussion. It would be incredibly painful to have to write sticking, one note at a time, through the menu system, for 16 bars of 16th note sextuplets.
