New version is no good
The new version is terrible, it opens a new instance for every score I click on, the audio comes and goes, it's slow and buggy, I often get error messages trying to publish. Can I revert to the previous version?

Yes you can. Look for the early version section on the download page.
The new instance for each score is standard for MuseScore 4.
Does your computer meet the specs for this version? FWIW it is possible to run v 4 without issue.
Yes you can. The best MS3 version is MS3.7 Evolution. This is an on-going development and has many improvements over MS3.6.2 including the ability to open MS4 files.
