Time signature and beam groups
Is it possible to change the default settings for beam groups in time signature?
Even if my template includes my preferred setting, 8th's grouped in 2 and not 4 as default,
I need to edit it every time.
This issue has been around since v3, now I run v4.4.

A tip which I don't remember seeing in the Handbook.
If you create a new time signature to use instead of the default time signature used by MuseScore, you will end up with two very similar images in the Time Signatures palette. For example, you want to use a 5/4 time signature but you want the beaming as 2+3 (instead of the default 3+2 beaming):

In this case you can edit the Properties of the new time signature in the Palette with Right-click > Properties. Then change the Name property to show the popup hint to be shown when you hover the mouse over the Time Signatures palette:
