Opening a "Part" should solo that part, rather than mute all other parts.

Hope this is clear. I can see an argument for unmuting the other parts one by one to hear the part you're looking at in context with specific instruments, but it would be my preference to do that by soloing more parts rather than unmuting them.

My main issue with the way that it is now is that you can't hear the part your looking at in context with the rest of the instruments in one click, as would be the case if that part were opened solo'd, rather than with all the other parts muted.

Also the mute button on the master fader still doesn't work.

I'm trying to follow this.
"as would be the case if that part were opened solo'd," Doesn't "solo'd" by definition mean all other parts are muted? Or do you mean that you want to see just one part and hear everything.

So each part has a fader in the mixer, and that fader also has a Solo button and a Mute button. When you open a part, you only hear that part, which is good... but what's bad (in my opinion) is that you hear it that way because every other track is muted... not because the track you opened is solo'd.

So if you want to hear that part in context with the other parts (while still looking at that part) you have to de-select mute on all the other faders, rather than just de-select the solo button. And if you have many other parts, that's a lot of clicking.
