Dynamics pop-up

OK, so the bug that had been introduced making some staccato notes hold if they were part of a hairpin, has been fixed. And now we can put a hairpin under a ( for example) whole note and put a dynamic on the next measure that is a rest. That works fine.
Is there a way to toggle off the dynamics pop-up that shows when I add a dynamic? Others might find it useful. I get it. I might use it 1 in 30 or 40 shots. If that much. I have to click it out of the way every time. I suspect we are stuck with it now. I get that it is easier to change a dynamic. But still.
