Dynamics pallete
I just updated Musescore and I don't like what happens when I input a dynamic marking in a score. Now when I add a dynamic marking this array of different dynamics appears underneath and takes up space. How can I make it so that it doesn't appear in the first place. Thanks.

Totally agree. I already posted about this. The only thing it is good for is if I want to change a dynamic. Other than that I don't have any use for it. And maybe not, even then.
The point of the popup is, you don't even need the palette anymore. Just press Ctrl+D and you can add the dynamic directly via the popup - or even just type it.

Can it be disabled?

Not currently, but it's worth opening an issue on GitHub requesting that the popup not show when you use the palette for whatever reason. At least, I can't think of a reason why it should show up when using the palette, but if there is, then an option to disable that seems like a fine idea. Again, though, the whole point is you should need the palette anymore.

I am figuring things out as I go and it is not that difficult to use when writing parts. This new feature came to my attention when I used the palette in a score - so it seems that at the moment, using the palette doesn't override it. I will take this issue to GitHub.

Could you walk me through sharing this concern on GitHub? It doesn't look like a regular forum. Thanks

Visit the MuseScore project page on GitHub (https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore), then click Issues, then New issue, and follow the prompts.
