last 1/8th note in measure

• Apr 1, 2025 - 20:55

I have one measure in a score that won't let me enter the last 1/8th beat. I'm in 3/4 time, the measure has 2 1/2 beats and won't allow an additional 1/8th beat to be entered. The measure shows a small dash (-) at the top right of each clef just above the lines. I'm not sure what that indicates.
Thanks for your help.

This shows you that the measure is defined shorter than the time signature.
Select the measure, click on it with the right mouse button and open the measure properties. Set the actual value there to be identical to the nominal value, in this case 3/4.
