Playback of Bass Parts as 2+ instruments
Hello, I've been working on a transcribing an early classical piece, trying to make the scoring as identical as possible to the old manuscripts, but also have playback that mirrors the instrumentation that may not be shown on the score(i.e. the basso continuo parts; also, for those interested, the music I'm attempting to transcribe is the fragment of Lacrimosa composed by mozart).
Is there any way to make two different instruments playback their own sounds, based off of one part? (for example, most early classical and baroque music had both the bass and cello or organ and bass play from the same part/line.)

Have the staff that is for looks not play. Select the entire staff and in Properties set it to not Play).
Set up two other staves, with the actual instruments, that play but do not appear. In Instruments or Layout (depending on version) panel, hide only the stave, not the entire instrument.

In this example, the staff labeled "Tuba & Violincello" is displayed but does not play. The staves labeled "Violincello" and "Tuba" play but are not displayed.
