Some bugs i have encountered.
I think Musescore is pretty amazing in pretty much every aspect but there are quite a few bugs that I find obnoxious and I think that fixing them would make the app much better in the future. I have made a zip file, uploaded here with all the bugs I have encountered and their respective files (it is not really long). I am going to make a list of the bugs I have encountered:
Let's start with the list.
-
If you save and restart the app/file, some measures with crescendos/diminuendo will replace quite a big part of the crescendo/ iminuendo and put in the text "other-dynamics". I consider this to be quite messed up as it can mess generally with the piece you are working on and your file.

In pretty much the majority of scores grace notes are tied to another note. Let's take, for example, an acciaccatura tied to an E in bass clef. If I save, and then, restart the app/file, the slur will completely dissappear from the acciccatura.

I was working on a piece about a month ago or so and this really annoyed me, I was setting pedaling for the piano, and then, after testing playback, some measures did not have the effect of the pedaling. I realized then what happened: To explain myself better, imagine 2 measures in 3/4, the software would misplace the pedaling quite millimetrically on measure 1 and it would interpret the pedaling as if it were in 4/4, thus, making the pedaling for the rest of the measure inefficient. I had to adjust it manually but I think I can't get it fixed. (note measures 10-11 on "piece (bug 3)" )

This has been a persistent problem for me since I started using Musescore. The placement of text or pretty much anything. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO UNFLEXIBLE? (at least that is for me). For example, take an expression text, you can move it upwards, downwards, pretty much anywhere you like but the software will suddenly move it where it likes it to be, it dosen't matter if it has automatic placement or not. it also happens with crescendos, you can move them a little bit but they'll simply glitch.
thanks for reading this and i hope the team takes this into consideration.

To point 4:
"The placement of text or pretty much anything. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO UNFLEXIBLE?
a) See the Handbook section Staff Text, System Text and Expression Text:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/staff-text-system-text-and-expressi…
System Text is indeed inflexible, and it is deliberately designed like that. Once you understand the specific purpose of System Text, the problem will be resolved.
b) And all text objects have an Auto-place property. If you don't like what Auto-place does, you can turn it off for the selected instance of that text object.
