I can't use MuseSound because of MuseSamplerCoreLib

• Apr 19, 2025 - 10:14

Hi, I've been having a problem for a while. After one of the Musescore 4 updates, I haven't been able to use Muse Sound anymore. I've tried several options, such as reinstalling everything, both Muse Hub and Musescore4. I've searched various forums and managed to find the cause of the problem. The MuseSamplerCoreLib.dll file is located in AppData/Local/MuseSampler/Lib and is updated to the latest version. However, the following lines appear in the MusesCore log:
2025-04-11T04:42:51.053 | ERROR | main_thread | MuseSamplerLibHandler::init | Could not init lib
2025-04-11T04:42:51.053 | ERROR | main_thread | MuseSamplerResolver::doInit | Incompatible MuseSampler library; ignoring
2025-04-11T04:42:51.055 | ERROR | main_thread | MuseSamplerLibHandler::init | Could not init lib
2025-04-11T04:42:51.055 | ERROR | main_thread | MuseSamplerResolver::doInit | Incompatible MuseSampler library; ignoring
I tried deleting it so MuseHub would download it automatically, which it did, but the same thing keeps happening. I managed to get it to detect the file only when I replaced it in the directory with an older version of MuseSamplerCoreLib.dll. In that case, it did recognize it, but then in the Playback Setup, it appeared grayed out even though it said MuseSounds was active, and obviously it wasn't working for me that way. I hope someone can help me with this problem, and thank you in advance.
