Lock position of dynamic markings while editing hairpins
As someone who's used MuseScore for a long time, I truly appreciate the overdue overhaul to the input of dynamics; however, this configuration is too rigid. In my opinion, the solution shouldn't be complete dynamic connectivity. Instead, let the user choose when the elements connect.
For example, let's say I place a whole note in a 4/4 bar and add a forte. if I want to add a diminuendo on beats 3 and 4, I add the hairpin to either the notehead or the measure (which defaults to full measure because of note length). If I want to delay that diminuendo, which I often do, the only way to move it without also moving the forte before it is by pulling the left side of the hairpin with my mouse, which is really finicky. The other option to move the hairpin is with the keyboard, but it will always move the forte unless the mouse is used to separate them first.
There's a chance I'm just not adept with these new features yet, but I think we'd benefit from the ability to lock a dynamic marking in its place in time -- maybe with a right click, a properties option, or even a keyboard shortcut? There could even be an option in Preferences to lock the position of those markings by default, meaning they cannot be moved at all unless unlocked (maybe this wouldn't help), OR to lock the position of those markings solely while editing the position of adjacent dynamic markings.
I looked briefly in the forum and didn't see much similar to this. Hopefully this, or something similar, can be considered.
