danny boy for guitar
greetings
although I have fedora 12 installed, I am testing musescore on winxp for now.
I noticed one thing that might be a problem - as I was trying to import the musicxml file
the window was showing directories as I was drilling down to the file. I accidently
moved the mouse while trying to open the directory and it went ahead and treated
the mouse action as a move command - moving the entire directory. Probably
when using open or import commands ( move or delete should be disabled) actually
I dont know about delete but just in case.
I tabbed the piece with gtrpro5 then exported it to musicxml. musescore imported it just fine.
I have two things I would like to change in the score.
01. convert all beams to only connect at quarter note lengths ie: dont beam 4 eighth notes, beam 2 then the next 2
02. remove the 18th measure (last) measure which only shows a rest. I tried ctrl , ctrl click, del from the
manual but I must be reading it wrong.
thank you

02: You need to click in the bar until a dotted blue box appears around it. I find it takes 2 clicks which I separate by about 1 second or so.
01: someone else will be able to help.

MuseScore uses the native open dialog for Microsoft Windows. The ability to delete and reorder files from within the Open dialog is Microsoft's design decision (for what it is worth, I actually use these features frequently).
To break beams see beam from the handbook.

thank you , I was able ot break the beams as desired. I didn't even know about the palette
having just started using musescore today.
