I'll take a stab at this one. I think the problem lies not with slurs so much as the method to select a group of notes to add the slur to. When clicking a note and then pressing shift+right to extend a blue rectangle, the rectangle will always stop at the note after a grace note, and allow you to extend it no further. This is encountered both when the initial click is on either the grace note, or an earlier note. Other methods of entering a slur seem to work fine. You can test with the file I've attached.

This was a regression in 0.9.5 and is fixed now.
