splitting apart a drum set
I downloaded a free drum set pattern from the Internet into a MIDI file. Now I want to convert each drum part into separate pitched orchestral instruments parts. I will decide (compose) all pitches manually. So, I opened the MIDI file into Muse 2.0 Beta. Now I see just one messy five-line drum stave. It looks overloaded with different note head shapes, triangles, dots, etc. In Muse 2.0 Beta, how can I split all this apart into separate parts? I can live with either one-line or five-line staves. (In other words, I want to see and study the rhythms that each individual drum made, regardless of pitch.)

I don't think that there would exist any automatic way of splitting a drumset part into separate parts for each drum. Perhaps someone could write a plugin for it. Or maybe a sequencer could split that drumset track into individual tracks for you in the MIDi file, so it would already be split when MuseScore saw it.

I think there was an option for this, but I can't see it - maybe it was removed?
