Play MIDI output

WOuld it be possiple to send Midi out data when playback is on?

To add to this, when selecting jackmidi ports out, and unticking the internal synth, i lose playback capability altogether. Transport controls don't work. Jack midi ports appear ok in jack_lsp, but i can't do anything with them aside from connecting them.

A question. Is this a native coded jack midi implementation, or some sort of wrapper for portmidi?

I don't have portmidi installed at all on my gentoo 64bit linux build, and would like to know if it's compulsory for Mscore.

mscore -v SVN from 2 days ago.

Linux.

Yep, been there done that, but still not working. Leaving the internal synth connected to enable playback results in the internal synth being used as default. Unticking it in preferences, to choose jack midi, results in a loss of playback.

And as i wrote in the previous post, the jackmidi ports are visible as ports to connect to, but with no playback capability, connecting them to anything is academic.

Sorry to hear that portmidi is required for midi input.

Alex.

Just using this thread, because it looks like the most recent related thread.
After searching, I am under the impression that there is a special download that enables playback via a MIDI device, but only on Windows. I have a Mac, so I currently do not have the option to playback with my MIDI device, correct? Just wanted to check...

Can't wait until in and out both work... :)

I wish to use my music keyboard via MIDI as the playback method when hearing scores. I don't see controls for doing this. Is this possible with Musescore?

Thanks. I understand the previous prioritization and some of the difficulties (having read the uh, interesting 2.0 audio thread on this from 2013). Is this currently a resource issue or is there newer information on why this is lower priority?

thanks
