saving and restoring non-default settings

It would be nice if there were an easy way to save and restore one's changed settings around a "Revert to Factory Settings", particularly if the reversion didn't fix the problem it was intended to address. I realize this can probably be done by hand by saving away copies of the various .ini and .xml files in AppData, but that's a fairly cumbersome process that's probably prone to error.
