Denoting dotted notes
For single notes, anything below a single dotted quaver sometimes doesn't look distinguishable because of the tail obstructing the dot.
Can we make it that the tail is automatically flipped to the desirable direction upon insertion? We could flag the applicable notes to the software pertaining to this issue.
Using a Mac and 0.9.6.

If you encounter 'dotted note', then just 'flip direction' ('fine').
The only thing that came to mind though, is if you have music (played by the other hand?) playing close to where this happens, the tail could be intrusive. Maybe the dot should be just better spaced (if it is possible)?
Any opinions?
Perhaps we just need to move the position of the dot, or widen the stem/flag.

Just for the record. Note to dot distance is customizable (for all notes in the score) in Style -> Edit global style -> Note

Thanks. :)
Think we perhaps need to adjust the flag/tail as ceegers suggested?

The tail looks odd because the stem is shorter than normal.
Comparing the results between LilyPond (top) MuseScore (bottom), LilyPond only reduces the stem length by half a space instead of a full space, and of course the dot has extra offset to avoid this particular collision

What do you suggest?

I guess I'm suggesting that a future version of MuseScore follow LilyPonds lead.

Rather, can we create a report? :)
Can someone create a report for this?
I don't know how to use Lilypond.
Bump
There were alterations to the placement of the augmentation dot, according to the log (June 4: 'chord layout: avoid collision between hook and augmentation dot').
It looks better, but comparing with Lilypond (thanks David), it's in a different place.
