Beaming - Create new beam - not working ....

I just downloaded and installed r1344. Breaking a beam still seems not to work.

Create a score accepting all defaults.

Create 4 eighth notes in succession. They will be beamed together by default.

Drag and drop the 'Start Beam' tool onto the 3rd note in sequence.

Nothing happens.

Expect it to split the 4-note beam into 2 2-note beams.

Workaround: Drag the 'Remove Beam' tool to the 3rd note. Drag the 'Start Beam' tool to the 3rd note.
