Modification to existing glissando line

I would like to propose some modifications to the existing glissando in the "arpeggios and glissandos" palette. When this is double-clicked onto a selected note it connects it with the subsequent note.

However, it needs: (a) an editing handle so that the user can customise both length and angle – allowing more space on both sides of the line if desired; and (b) a dotted line option would also be useful. I have seen "position slides" notated like this occasionally, where the LH finger uses the string as a guide only and does not sound it.
