Maximum Measure Width
Hello! I am a user of MuseScore, and I love the program, and the fanbase around it. However, when it comes to professional looking scores, this program doesn't come in very handy. I mean, the score is legible, but doesn't look professional. A feature I thought could improve this is Maximum Measure Width. I know we have Minimum Measure Width, but It's not realistic to have one measure taking up a whole page in a conductors score. Please Fix This. Thank you!

What do you think doesn't look professional about the output? Could you post a specific score you are having problems with? Perhaps it is just something you could be doing differently to get the results you prefer. I have done a number of comparisons and find that scores generally come out looking better by default in MuseScore than Finale (probably the most commonly used program among professionals) and about on par with Sibelius (the other popular program among professionals). Only LilyPond consistently produces better looking results, but you have to work at least twice as hard to get those results, so few professionals actually use it.
In particular, I don't understand your comment about measure width. If there is room for two measures on the page, that will happen automatically. If there is not room for two measures - which I guess could happen if one measure was abnormally wide - then it would be very unusual for professionally published to music to not have that measure stretch the entire width of the page. Professionally published music is virtually always "right justified" with the possible exception of the last system, and MuseScore does provide a specific control over the justification of the last system (see Style / General / Page / Last systen fill threshold).
It is possible you have indvertently placed a line break on some measure that is causing MuseScore to end the system early. Again, hard to say without seeing the specific score you are having problems with.
