Inserting time signature change
Hi team!
I completed a 4/4 score but found an error. I should have inserted a 2/4 bar in one of the staves. After I inserted the 2/4 bar, all my Breaks disappeared throwing the entire score spacing into total chaos. Is there a way to insert a 2/4 bar "after the fact" without totally ruining the spacing?
Other information:
- There are no notes or lyrics in the score, only chords, which I have moved down inside the staff lines--after which I make the staff lines disappear. (Musescore is the ONLY program on the planet that offers this wonderful feature!)
- The score is returned to 4/4 time after a few bars of 2/4.
Thanks.

Changing time signature means barlines won't necessarily be the smae palces, so there is in general no way to keep the line breaks either. However, if you are just changing for a few bars, it is easy to get around that - just add the return to 4/4 *before* adding the change to 2.4. That is, if you have a score in 4./4 and want 2/4 in bar 7 only, *first* insert another 4/4 in bar 8, *then* add the 2/4 to bar 7.

Thank you, Marc! Your idea worked. It sure saves a lot of reformatting :) Best...
