Scroll bars
OK, so I’m a Mac-head; I admit it. And I am delirious that the folks who wrote MuseScore actually created a Mac version. (I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to find a great piece of software that doesn’t run on my OS!)
But, as a Mac-head, I’m very much accustomed to scroll bars to move the working area of the screen up and down and left and right. Does anyone know if this feature is forthcoming?

Not really. There are a lot of different ways to move around your score.
Did you try the navigator (Display -> Navigator).
You can also scroll or shift+scroll. Depending of the type of Mac you use, you can use the trackpad to scroll right left too.
