TAB - Fingering Collisions
Is is possible when there are currently 2 notes on the same string to make them red so that you know there is a fingering being hidden by another? Right now it is difficult to see that a note is being hidden under a fingering collision. Any other ideas that are better?

Could you show an example? What version of MuseScore are you using?

I'm using a fresh compile of the SVN HEAD

When the 2 notes are sharing the same string there should be an indication that you have a problem (or something)
A better tab support is being added to the SVN trunk. This is a good point to keep in mind.
In the best of the possible worlds, the tab support would automatically use a different string when a fingering conflicting note is added; this is probably a bit complex to implement (=> possibility of nasty side effects) as it should evaluate positions and so on.
Colouring the colliding notes is a nice idea. Red is already used for extra-range notes: is this a problem? What about orange? (green and blue are not very evident and traditionally associated with non-problems, yellow is difficult to see)

Yeah, whatever color is fine, or even highlight the fingering with a background color instead.
