See attached file. When I attempt to enter Middle Beam in measure 4, it incorrectly shows up in measure 1. Entering Middle Beams in measures 10 and 14 displayed correctly. Am I doing something wrong since I'm pretty new to this? Thanks, Ron

I am guessing you only intended to join the beams between the second and third notes. In which case, all you need to do is select the third note before apply the beam middle property.
Instead, it appears you selected the entire measure, which caused MuseScore to attempt to also join the beam to the previous measure - to extend the beam right across the barline. Beaming across a barline is supported but currently does not work across line breaks - see #16278: Beaming notes over barlines and line breaks.
So, first select the measure and double click the "Auto" icon to reset it to the default, then click just the third note and double click the "Beam middle" icon.
If this does not solve your problem, please ask for help in the Support forum (you can use Help / Ask for Help from within MuseScore).
Thank you very much Marc. I did what you indicated. Works fine.
