spacing clash with ledger lines and rehearsal letters outline
no spacing automatically applied where there is a note with ledger lines and the outline box of the Rehearsal letter.
Is this a bug? or could it automatically assign some spacing?

It's not a bug, just a feature we don't have - automatic avoidance of collisions. It's a very complex topic to decide how to resolve such conflicts. I was pretty sure there was an existing issue dealing with this problem in general (not just for rehearsal marks) but I can't find it. So I'm leaving this open for now rather than closing it as a duplicate.
Thanks Marc, I did not know if it was a bug or just something you need to do manually. I noticed some things move when you add them in, others do not. I have only been using Musescore for a couple of weeks, so still finding my way around it.
(Thanks for writing the book, I have purchased it on Kindle. I am finding it useful to learn from.)
